This pre-dawn departure gives you the best possible chance of witnessing Yala’s wildlife in the golden light of early morning, when the park’s remarkable leopard population is most active and visible. Yala holds the world’s highest density of leopards per square kilometre in its Block One, and our experienced tracker-drivers know the park’s trails and habits intimately, maximising your chances of close, unhurried encounters. In addition to leopards, Yala is home to large herds of elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles resting on rock shelves, painted storks, and a dramatic coastal landscape of dunes, lagoons, and ancient temple ruins.
